Exciting that I get a second blog! Summer will officially kick off next week, even though the heat makes it feel more like August. But I’m never one to rush the summer season. So, take some time to enjoy the outdoors whether it’s at the pool, in the sun, under an umbrella in the shade, or walking the dog. There is a lot going on in the real estate world and it’s personal to each and every one of us. For many, real estate is your biggest asset. If we could be of assistance on the buy/sell side or the appraisal side, please do let us know. My wish is that everyone has good, solid advice. If you are working with someone with expertise you trust, that’s great.

If you’ve been following the blog, we’re trying to highlight local businesses to support. When you’re looking for those fresh ingredients, if you haven’t already, find a farmer to support – our veg pick is always Nichols Farm and Orchard. The cottage bacon featured in the recipe is from Jake’s Country Meats (pick up at the Downers Grove farmers market). I’ll report back in July but we’ll be heading to Mick Klug Farm for some of the best fruit around, from what I hear. If you’re in the area, a neighbor and I are looking to have our Nichols CSA weekly box delivered to our home for pick up, so if anyone is interested in participating, please let me know!
